Custom & Comissioned Work

When people first hear about Petite Redu, many don’t quite understand what it is we do. Most are new to the idea of custom furniture and are curious as to how our entire process works.


At initial contact, Carol and Al will ask a series of questions to determine your over-all needs. Questions asked are generally: Do you have existing furniture that needs refinishing or would you like us to find something? Would you like it restored or customized to fit within a certain room or space. Will you need additional pieces to accent your existing piece, etc?


The next step is sharing your style. Many times, clients stop in with swatches or pictures for Carol to study. If a personal trip is not possible, photographs sent by Internet are very helpful in the design process. If this still isn’t working, Carol and Al are always happy to make a personal visit to your home to determine the best design applications possible.


Once the plans have been laid out, it’s time to get to work. A date is then set to bring your piece to our shop. At this time, any complementary pieces we have found for you will be viewed, and any custom work to be done will be explained. From there it’s all up to us. Within six to eight weeks, your project is complete and ready for delivery. It’s really that easy!
